May 13, 2010 - funny isn't it, when you were in Spain you hardly ever if ever at all spoke Spanish in your clips, now you're in America....your prattling away in Spanglish every clip...it's now very bothering... maybe you should make clips in English and clips in Spanish... for those who truly need to hear what you're saying... and perhaps move the mic away from Niagara Falls?

DirtKickerStudio Says:

May 13, 2010 - Very good that you explained about how the fingers should be higher and lower for pushing up the clay. My first pottery teacher failed to teach me that. I'm sure you're missing your Leach treadle wheel.

May 13, 2010 - simon click on view all coments . it is on the right lower down --jon !

PotteryGarage Says:

May 13, 2010 - I've watched every single one of Simon's videos and I think it's hysterical that there are folks who think Simon OWES them videos in the language of their choice! How much are they paying for these classes? Here is an excellent prolific teacher - who happens to be bilingual - offering up his services to the world for free, and people are COMPLAINING? These videos are a gift of Simon's time and knowledge. Teach on, Simon, in as many languages as you know. Your students will learn.

May 13, 2010 - Thanks, Simon! Wonderbar!

yusufforever Says:

May 13, 2010 - hello simon, i am still not quite sure what the newspaper is for... and does a person need to worry about trapping air under the rim when the rim of the pot is rolled?

Skullatoran Says:

May 13, 2010 - @sleachpots Simon, I think they changed the youtube layout again, the comments look different

CarlaHerren Says:

May 13, 2010 - Another great video, just in time for summer planting, thaks for your time and effort to make the clips.

TheAmazingRyanM Says:

May 13, 2010 - @PotteryGarage He earns money via ad's on YouTube. So he does get paid, the amount varying depending on wether we watch it or not.

smathewspots Says:

May 13, 2010 - Simon - I continue to enjoy watching your videos. Full of good technique and inspiration. Very generous, thank you :) Skip - still practicing... still learning.

flowbaz Says:

May 13, 2010 - What a pity to read "rigid" comments about non-english clips ! Pottery needs flexibility so open your ears and minds as well... anyway Simon is free to speak whatever language he wants on top of body/hand language..;-) and web is the world isn't it ? Bonne journée!

coconut4g Says:

May 13, 2010 - very nice, in fact i've been throwing pots with 1.5kg. but my clay is rather hard so its hard to pull it up. it takes me at least 30min to finish a piece. any advises i should keep in mind? thanks!!

tokyorosa Says:

May 13, 2010 - For those of us who understand both Spanish and English, these clips are a delight! Thank you, Simon! I will probably never throw a flowerpot in my life, but I still very much enjoyed this bilingual 20 minute lesson in how to do it.

claymoma Says:

May 13, 2010 - @expatjon1 some people just can't help showing thier ignorance

claymoma Says:

May 13, 2010 - @starchild808 Hey, it's your loss, Simon is the BEST instructor you will find. It won't hurt you to pay attention and listen to just the english. Remember, Simon has moved to the US from SPAIN, WHERE THEY SPEAK SPANISH so it's only natural that he would include adressing his friends from SPAIN when he does a video. I suppose you don't like his little De De De song either . . . well there is no accounting for taste is there. SIMON LEACH RULES !!!

claymoma Says:

May 13, 2010 - The newspaper tip ROCKS !!! It has saved many pots for me. Regards, Debbie

expatjon1 Says:

May 14, 2010 - @claymoma i was not picking on any one --just smileing . my english sarcasum is a bit dry

PotteryGarage Says:

May 14, 2010 - @TheAmazingRyanM I never said he didn't get paid. I said, "How much are they [the viewers] paying for these classes?" and the answer is $0.

ThatLynnGirl Says:

May 15, 2010 - Good-looking pots there, Simon! I'm always de-wobble-ifying mine. Or... to add yet another language, I make mine wabi-sabi! LOL

ThatLynnGirl Says:

May 15, 2010 - Simon, can you tell me why you mess with a bat if you're lifting the pot at the end?

monkeychicken27 Says:

May 16, 2010 - @ThatLynnGirl bat pins can be nasty on the hands.

CaptainKhamsin Says:

May 18, 2010 - Hi simon what temperature will you fire the flowerpots up to?

donglabong Says:

May 20, 2010 - @PotteryGarage I for one have left plenty of comments thanking Simon for his time and trouble sharing his tips and advice, no one 'expects' anything from him,.... I left my comment in a similar vein to the comments made to the use of his head cam.... when viewers found them distracting, there wasn't the same reaction, personally I find these bi-lingual clips distracting... just making my point! I'm entitled to mine as you are to yours. anyways, keep practicing!

nemesis111680 Says:
